The Days Hotel in Hazel Park, Michigan. Demolished!!!!!

For a few years, I used to drive past this hotel on the way to work. It sat on 9 Mile and I-75.

If I remember correctly, it used to be a Holiday Inn. I always thought it looked kinda crumby.

Anyway, it should be entirely gone by the end of this weekend. They started pulling it down last week, and plan to be carting it away by tomorrow.

The sign seems to be covering up another - Holiday Inn? Of course, my memory is never that good.

Coming_Soon_CVS

And just what's needed - a CVS. Because there is never too many corners that can be taken up by a CVS.

Your memory appears to be correct. That "Days Hotel" sign is clearly using a 1980s era Holiday Inn sign frame/post.

CVS blows. They exist to suck revenue out of local neighborhoods. The one near me routinely over charges for everything unless you check the receipt, then the refund you the difference.
